In early spring 2006, the 2006 XRAY Challenge Round 1 opened at GF Raceway in Korea to approximately 40 of the best drivers. It was cold and windy, but the drivers showed their great passion for racing and didn’t know when to finish.

This race had some meaning in that it was the first test of the new XRAY T2 with outdoor regulated racing rules in Korea, and also new XRAY team drivers. Control tires were used and the track was not open until race day to make the race more interesting, to see drivers’ abilities, and to compare the superiority of cars. Through this race, we could see how Team XRAY has become much stronger since last season with the better XRAY T2 car and more got skilled racers.

In Open class GT1, Ryan Lee (best driver in Korea) and Yong, Mun (KMRCA Stock Champion in 2005, Team Driver) who just signed up as XRAY team drivers, made the assembled gallery very happy to see the racing. In finals 1 and 2, their close racing was so amazing that the gallery was very focused on their racing. However, Mr. Mun’s XRAY T1 FK’05 was finally retired and marked to the third position.

In the Super Sports class - using a 19T stock motor - Jae-Jun Lee (Team driver, entry of Tamiya Asian Cup) and Doo-Hyun Kyun (2005 XRAY Challenge Rn1 Stock class Champion) were participating racing and it too was very close racing.

In the Micro GT class, Tae Kwon, Kim (2005 XRAY Challenge Micro class champion) won the race again.

Through this event, we could see how the new XRAY T2 is a successful racing machine, and proved that the T2 is the best-choice \"unbeatable\" racing machine for Korea racers. We would like to say we really appreciate the racers\' passion for racing in the cold weather. We are really looking forward to seeing racers from other countries in the Korea XRAY Challenge. If anyone is interested in participating in the race, please send an e-mail to us anytime for details.
